How do I work with Flags?
A flag is nothing more than an "electronic sticky note". You can create and add as many flags to a record (person or organization) as you like. While there is no programatic limit on the number of flags that you use, thinking out a good structure will save you from finding your records covered in virtual sticky notes. If you need advice on how to set up your flag structure, just ask.
TIP: Remember that flags are powerful segmentation factors. You can search, sort, export and send email campaigns based on flags. But as with all things, use in moderation.
To create a flag, you must have access to onView.
- Login at www.44fish.com.
- On the left, under the dashboard, click once on onView. From the drop down menu select Admin.
- From the onView admin screen, look for the "Admin" section. Here you will see a flags icon which will allow you to add/edit flags. Please note in most cases, deleting flags is disabled. To add your new flag or edit an exsisting flag, click the flags icon.
- From the admin/list.php?area=crm_flags page you can now edit an exsisting flag or click the add icon to add a new flag to the system.
- Once you have added or edited a flag, click save. Your flag will now be live and accessible in all public and FortyFourFish flag locations.
*sending emails via flag requires onDelivery.
